Gail Turner is a renowned Irish Artist. Brought up in Northern Ireland, she has lived in the Middle East, Asia & the South East of England. She now lives in Northern Ireland in the inspiring Co.Fermanagh countryside where her gallery and art classes are based.
PAINTING
Gail paint in oils, and her painting is a dialogue between nature, beautiful things and the ever changing way light engulfs the
m. She is energized by the spontaneity of life and is drawn to bursts of colour and pleasing lines. Gail says she paints to keep the moments she see’s, safe, so they can be repeatedly treasured. For her, painting is a challenging wonder that will never be fully understand. It is as individual as the person picking up the brush, and as unique as the viewer considering the finished work.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Gail has had an international career as a professional photographer and artist. She is an award winning photographer, winning the Photography Masters Cup for Outstanding Achievement in Fine Art, judged by The National Geographic and Saatchi & Saatchi. An Innovation Award and numerous portraiture awards have also been accredited over the years.
Her work delights the eye and appeals to the intellect. Her images have become highly collectable and sought after. They appeal to the connoisseur and have a vibrant, yet serene quality. A large collection of her photographic work presently hangs in the 5-star Lough Erne Golf Resort in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, which hosted the G8 summit. Her pieces are also collected privately.
She has exhibited in Ireland, England, Sweden and Hong Kong and her work has been published in The Tatler and many renowned publications. She has published a series of photographic books, including “Fermanagh Insight.”
